Prathiba Bansal — Educator | IELTS Specialist

For over two decades, I've worked at the intersection of technology and infrastructure as a Telecom Metro Rail Engineer. For the last six years, I've applied that same engineer's mindset to a very different kind of system: human language, and the anxiety that surrounds testing it.

I didn't set out to become a language teacher. What pulled me in was a simple fascination — how language actually unlocks human potential, and how badly most language education fails to teach it functionally.

I chose to specialize in IELTS specifically because I saw how much weight a single number carries — a career, a visa, a university seat, a family's plans. That's not a vocabulary problem. That's a structured-thinking problem.

The moment that shaped Athovia

A few years ago, I taught a brilliant software engineer who had failed the IELTS Writing section three times. I told her to stop trying to sound impressive, and write exactly the way she codes: clean, logical, structured. She scored a Band 8.0, with C1 proficiency, within two weeks. That was the moment Concept-Over-Complexity became the philosophy Athovia is built on.
